Box 345, Newberry Springs, CA 92365 Age Divisions Junior ~ 10 - 12 years Teen ~ 13 - 17 years Miss ~ 18 - 24 years (single, never married or with child) MS. ~ 18 & up (single with a child, divorced, widowed, or over 24) Mrs. ~ Married up to 49 years Classic ~ (50 years and up) State Competition *Entrants from the states that Route 66 travels through (California Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois) are competing for the Miss Route 66 state title *Entrants from other states are competing for the “Miss Route 66 Spirit state title *6 Queen's (1 in each age division) per state will receive a custom Route 66 Crown & Embroidered State Sash *All other entrants are awarded Route 66 Ambassador titles & will receive a Custom Route 66 Tiara & Ribbon Sash |
| State Title Holders & Ambassadors *Upon winning the title, state Queens and Ambassadors will be given contact information for the nearest Route 66 Museum or Association *State Queens and Ambassadors are encouraged to contact the nearest Route 66 Museum or Association and see if there are any ways in which they can volunteer their services in the promotion of Route 66. They may also represent their titles at any automotive event where Cars are Stars, car shows, auto races, cruises, etc. *Queens and Ambassadors that send in a (head & shoulder) photo in their crown & sash will be posted on the website *State Queens and Ambassadors are asked to document activities participated in and submit to the director a quarterly report along with pertinent photographs (will be posted on the web site) "Applications will be evaluated and essays read during the first and second week of January. Entrants should be contacted with the results by the middle of January and hopefully crowns and sashes will be in the mail by the end of January."
