| Miss Route 66 Pageant WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Anyone who has ever traveled on Route 66. This is a one day, walk on, fun event pageant which is held in support of the Route 66 Museum. It gives seasoned competitors an opportunity to practice their pageant skills, concentrating on typical areas of judging and introduces the first time contestant to the world of pageantry without the added expense of an extensive wardrobe. (We use a Red, White & Blue Theme) No interviews will be held, and there will be minimal duties or responsibilities required of the winners. All title holders are encouraged to participate in Barstow and other cities Route 66 activities or car shows. You will be notified if there is an event that we would like you to participate in. You may also promote the title in your city as community service or a parade that you wish to participate in. 12 TITLES AWARDED BABY, PETITE, TINY, LITTLE, PIXIE, JUNIOR, PRE-TEEN, JR.TEEN, TEEN, MISS, MRS., MS. & CLASSIC PAGEANT ATTIRE (1 outfit—all age divisions) Sportswear / Casual wear (no swim suits) (Does not have to be Red, White & Blue) JUDGING * Stage Presence * Presentation * Overall Appearance Junior - Classic~ Be prepared to tell about your favorite Route 66 location or event while on stage. ____________________________________________________________________________________ COSTUME OPTIONAL Typical attire worn during Route 66 “Heyday” (1945 - 1960) (Costume modeled on stage after sportswear) Trophy (1 winner per division) EVERYONE RECEIVES A SASH PIN PHOTOGENIC OPTIONAL Judged from the photo you bring & live on stage Trophy (1 winner per division) EVERYONE RECEIVES A SASH PIN TALENT OPTIONAL 1 - 2 talent winners will be crowned (depending on number of entries) (3 min. time limit / have music cued—turn in after main pageant) Custom Crown & Sash EVERYONE RECEIVES A SASH PIN MINI- OPTIONALS Sash pins awarded in 8 areas (hair, eyes, smile, sportswear, personality, most charismatic, show stopper for appearance & pageant star for stage presence) EVERYONE RECEIVES A SASH PIN Everyone wins a Custom Sash & Tiara or Crown We reserve the right to combine, adjust or cancel divisions as necessary.
